Even the magical classes have unique twists

PSO2 is all about the gameplay. Even the magical classes have unique twists, such as the Summoner that hovers above the floor and controls pets using a magic baton.

Combat feels like a mixture of Devil May Cry and Dragon Hunter, or Maybe the Tales JRPG Collection, depending on the class you choose. My principal class is a Braver who uses either a katana for up-close and showy combos or a strong bow to rain down damage from afar. The ability tree you get back at the primary ship lobby is filled with passive ability bonuses and small skills like dodging and parrying, but your actual combat skills are located as random loot drops on assignments in the form of discs. You can discover new abilities or more powerful variants of existing abilities, as well as badge tokens to exchange for even stronger items at specific sellers. Relying on the random loot gods to bless you using brand new abilities is a bit feeble, but you can at least sell the ones that you do not want or use them to upgrade existing skills. Overall it is an addictive system that helps maintain excitement even when you're much higher level.

You eventually get to pick a subclass, which is literally just any of the other classes you want. You'll gain all of the passives in the skill tree, but can't use any of their real skills so you need to select something that matches your main class well. That being said, you are able to change to and play with any main course on any character by simply talking to the skill trainer at the primary lobby and switching over. Trying other classes this way is helpful, however I found myself preferring to create new characters to concentrate in different classes instead of switching back and forth so I have a fresh stock of quests and Client Orders to take on as well as a separate visual identity and different private bank storage. The wait is over for Phantasy Star Online 2's Episode 5. There's a new story, upgraded attributes and even a new class to enjoy. Episode 5 looks like a significant departure from Episode 4, as there are a lot of new items to experience and a new, high level cap of 90 to achieve. Here's what to get excited about in PSO2 Episode 5, and why to return if you were tired of fighting a boat. The very first Scion Class, Hero, is here. Unlike regular courses, there are requirements to unlock Scions, and they tend to play differently. To perform Hero, you must have some two level 75 classes before speaking to Cofy to unlock it.
